Rue was a lovely sheep with a light silver grey fleece. Sadly, Rue died from casting (when a sheep rolls so far over towards their back that they cannot get themselves back up), which orphaned her two young lambs, Ginger and Dandelion.

We raise a mixed fibre flock on our farm. They are grass-fed & rotationally grazed on our lush pastures. They are bred in the fall and have their lambs in the spring. The adults are sheared in the early spring ahead of lambing and their fleeces are skirted to remove any unwanted parts to ready them for the mill, where they are cleaned & carded and made into roving or yarns. The fibre from this flock is glorious and luxurious and each skein is its own natural colour (they are all sheep coloured, not dyed).
