Sassafras (Sassy) is a big girl with a pretty white fleece who makes pretty and big babies! She’s a bit standoffish with me but is tight with the other sheep.

We raise a mixed fibre flock on our farm. They are grass-fed & rotationally grazed on our lush pastures. They are bred in the fall and have their lambs in the spring. The adults are sheared in the early spring ahead of lambing and their fleeces are skirted to remove any unwanted parts to ready them for the mill, where they are cleaned & carded and made into roving or yarns. The fibre from this flock is glorious and luxurious and each skein is its own natural colour (they are all sheep coloured, not dyed).
