Farm Yarn - Tamarack

$30.00

Tamarack was a ram we had for a short time, but due to a genetic anomaly found in rapid growing Merinos, he was not able to stay here for long.  He has a lovely white fleece.

Keep in mind that every monitor will not display colour the same.  This yarn’s true colour may vary slightly from what your screen displays.

We raise a mixed fibre flock on our farm.  They are grass-fed & rotationally grazed on our lush pastures.  They are bred in the fall and have their lambs in the spring.  The adults are sheared in the early spring ahead of lambing and their fleeces are skirted to remove any unwanted parts to ready them for the mill, where they are cleaned & carded and made into roving or yarns.  The fibre from this flock is glorious and luxurious and each skein is its own natural colour (they are all sheep coloured, not dyed).
